Approach

A closed loop between physics and design.

  1. 01

    Model

Define the physics, the design variables and what “better” means: objectives, constraints and operating conditions.

  2. 02

    Simulate

Choose the right fidelity for each question and verify it — mesh studies, solver checks and comparison with reference data.

  3. 03

    Optimize

Search the design space efficiently with sensitivities, surrogates and multi-objective methods to expose the real trade-offs.

  4. 04

    Validate

Check optimized designs off-design and against higher-fidelity analysis or test data before they reach production.

Typical objectives

  • min CD at cruise
  • max L/D
  • max CL,max
  • min structural mass
  • s.t. thickness, volume & moment limits
  • min hull resistance
  • delay cavitation inception
  • robust across Mach & Re

In development · Built on Claude

An AI engineering agent for fluid-dynamic design.

State a goal in plain language. The agent sets up the study — geometry parametrization, constraints and simulation fidelity — runs our CFD and optimization tools, checks convergence, and explains the trade-offs it found.

The physics solvers do the computing. The agent handles the setup, orchestration and interpretation that today takes experts days.

Design brief

“Cut cruise drag 5% without losing CL,max or wing volume.”

  1. Parametrize 24 FFD control points, twist & thickness
  2. Constrain CL,max ≥ baseline, volume ≥ baseline
  3. Simulate RANS at cruise + 2 off-design points
  4. Optimize adjoint gradients, multi-point
  5. Verify mesh independence, convergence, trade-off report

Industries

Where better shapes matter.

Aviation & eVTOL

Wing and high-lift design, drag reduction, and rotor–wing interaction for fuel, range and efficient hover.

UAVs & defense

Endurance-driven wing design, control surfaces and rapid design-space exploration.

Naval & subsea

Submarine hulls, sails, fins and propulsors — lower resistance, better maneuvering and quieter flow.

Wind energy & motorsport

Blade profiles, downforce and cooling — the same methods, different flows.

About

Engineering grounded in first principles.

PhysLabs is a modeling, simulation and optimization company. We believe the best designs come from understanding the physics deeply and letting rigorous optimization do the searching.

We work as an extension of engineering teams — from a focused airfoil or hull study to building the simulation and optimization software your designers use every day.
